CATCH

CATCH a new care programme to help the members of our community who need it the most, such as our older members, those who are unwell and those who have recently lost a loved one. CATCH is a friendly but strictly confidential service run by the community for the community.

Our new Hotline number is

Ladies Guild
Come and join us for Shabbat and the Ladies Guild volunteers will round off the morning with a Kiddush. You can enjoy their food and meet your friends. If you have a Simcha soon, they will prepare a kiddush for your family and friends. The Ladies Guild also has fund-raising socials, which helped them to raise money for our lovely new kosher kitchen.

J.A.C.S.
Jewish Association of Cultural Society
JACS on a Thursday afternoon at Chigwell and Hainault has become a must for the retired and semi-retired members of this community and their friends. Over the last eight years the membership has grown thanks to the varied and interesting programme. Previous high quality speakers have included Eleanor Lang M.P speaking about her life in the House of Commons; Manny Curtis -'From this you make a living' and Mrs D. Glazer on Placido Domingo.

Trips to places of interest have included the Beth Shalom, Nottingham and Stratford-upon-Avon. All branches of JACS get together with a visit to Israel and Bournemouth with the founder of JACS Annette Pearlman.

For the new year we have something of interest for everyone. The new programme is posted regularly on the Synagogue notice board. We are extremely happy to include speakers from within the community.

Meeting times: Thurday 1pm for 1.30pm -we look forward to meeting you.
Current Chairman - Basil

Bereavement Group
In the event of a bereavement - the shul office will provide an emergency contact number out of office hours to advise you about how to make necessary levoyah and shiva arrangements.

As a shul, we are there to support you in happy and sad times. Our bereavement support group will send someone to help when you need it most. It meets regularly with speakers and trained counsellors. DO contact them if you need help via Shul office.
